I love this church.
The people here are so welcoming and caring. Coming here has given me a sense of community. We have coffee and refreshments after service and bible study. Sometimes we have dinner here too. The food is always really good. LGBT friendly. Please come!

This is a small and intimate but growing congregation in between Grand Central Station and the United Nations. The congregation is diverse, and there is a unique community aspect to it as after church has many receptions and food gatherings after the service. If you are looking for a place to build some christian based relationships and grow with a community, you should definitely check this place out. And the after church BBQ and coffee are the best in town!

I attended Church of the Covenant for the first time over a year ago before officially moving to NYC. Since moving to the city and visiting neighboring churches i found the congregation to be very inviting and genuine.
The renovated sanctuary is comparable to a scene out of the movies. Although updated, they still managed to keep the integrity by maintaining the iconic stained glass windows and massive pipe organ (which you can hear from the sidewalk if passing by)
The pastor does a great job of delivering the message! And his sermons are uplifting and thorough yet concise.
This is a great church for a family, singles, couples or other young professionals like me!

I’ve been attending the church of the Covenant for a few years with my wife. It is a warm place with real people and the love of God can be found here. This is the type of community where you can role up your sleeves and contribute very quickly. Too often church goers get comfortable sitting back and getting catered to, almost like you are buying a ticket to madison square garden. If you are craving a place where your talents and gifts can go to impacting the mission from the first day you are there, then this Church would love to have you. The common goal here is to LOVE others because Christ first loved us.

I found Church of the Covenant shortly after moving to the city in early 2013. It was the first church I visited when looking for a church home, and I’ve never left! A small and welcoming congregation made me feel valued and at home. Damaged by Hurricane Sandy in 2012, the Sanctuary just re-opened for regular services in January 2014, renovated and with a restored pipe organ and it is a beautiful place to worship. A new Interim Pastor (rather than weekly guest speakers) adds continuity, and Thursday night Bible Studies are open to all. The church is convenient for many hotels, and two blocks from Grand Central Terminal. If you are in the area looking for a church home, or just passing through, this is a great place to worship in Midtown East.
